One Team. One Vision. Effortless Potential

The History of Houston Visions Track & Field

Our inspiring journey begins here

Houston Visions Track Club was founded on a deep commitment to leadership, mentorship, athletics, education, and community impact. Our mission is to foster holistic development in young athletes, guided by the inspiring life and experiences of Coach Tyrone Hamilton Cross. His journey from an All-American athlete to a dedicated mentor shapes our philosophy, emphasizing discipline, unity, and perseverance.

Meet our dedicated leader, Coach Cross

Coach Tyrone Hamilton Cross, born on January 3, 1961, in Alexandria, Virginia, is the heart of Houston Visions Track Club. With a lifetime dedicated to leadership and mentorship, Coach Cross brings unparalleled experience as a former All-American athlete in both high school and college, competing professionally and internationally. His foundational lessons in discipline, unity, and perseverance, learned from his time playing football under legendary Coach Herman Boone, directly influence our coaching philosophy. Coach Cross's ability to inspire and guide young athletes stems from his personal journey through triumph and adversity, making him an exceptional mentor.
